2 Months

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!  Luci you are 2 months old!  Miss Luci you are growing too fast.  Please slow down!  I can't believe it's already been 2 months since you were born.  It seems like yesterday.

Well sweet girl, at 2 months you are now smiling all the time.  Anytime someone familiar talks to you, you just light up with big smiles!  You also will coo back when we talk to you.  You and your Daddy can carry on some pretty long conversations sometimes.

You are finally starting to grow out of your newborn clothes and are wearing 0 to 3months.  You're wearing a size 1 diaper also, which is still a little big, but the newborn diapers were just way too snug.  At your 2 month check up you were 10 pounds and 9 ounces.  You are a tiny little girl, and we are madly in love with every little ounce!  You are still nursing every 3 hours, but will sleep a good 5 to 6 hour stretch at night.  When you do wake up, you will nurse and go right back to sleep.  We still have an occasional off night where you may not sleep as well or go to bed at a decent time, but all in all I'm pretty satisfied with your sleeping patterns.

I have definitely made you a rotten little girl.  You think you have to be held when you sleep, and yes you cuddle up to me every night in bed.  I love every minute of it though, and wouldn't have you any other way.
These months are so exciting, and I've enjoyed being able to stay home with you and soak in every moment!
We love you Luci Colt!

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

I'm joining in with Miscellany Monday today!

1. Weekend Recap
We had a great weekend!  We spent all weekend pretty much with our family.  Saturday we celebrated my sisters and my niece's birthday at my parents house.  We had an amazing lunch and cake.  Sunday, my Aunt was layed to rest.  She passed away on the 17th.  Although the situation that brought us together wasn't the best, we were able to see some of our family that we haven't seen in months.  We had a great lunch with the family.

2. Grandma El's
If you have a baby this stuff is a must!  I absolutely love it, and it's made from all natural and organic ingredients!  And the scent is also great!  Luci has never had a diaper rash and I give some of the credit to Grandma El's!

3.  Can't get enough of these!

Luci's smiles!  They are very hard to capture on camera, but she gives us these all the time and WE can't get enough!

4.  Spinach Addiction

I'm in love with organic baby spinach!  I think I could eat this stuff on everything.  I eat it as a salad, on my sandwiches, and also by itself.  I've even gotten Joey and the girls eating it!  Luke, well...not so much!

5.  Cleaning for the cleaning lady..

Yes, that's what my day consists of today.  Cleaning the house, or should I say picking up the house, so the cleaning lady can come in tomorrow and clean this house!  Although I'm here all day, it is quite hard to get everything clean in between feeding, changing, and entertaining a 2 month old!

Top Secret!

I'm writing this post in hopes that Brea doesn't read it! So Sssshhhhhh!  As it turns out, we aren't going to be able to go to Disney this summer as we had hoped.  The kids are going to be very disappointed but with Luke's Dr. bills (which are outrageous!) and Luci being so small, Joey and I decided to wait.  It makes me a little sad, but I just couldn't get the trip together in time to go.

BUT....we are going to go in December!  We had originally planned to go this December and I had even booked the trip, but had to cancel when we found out about Luci.

I received a PIN code in the mail a couple of weeks ago with an awesome deal for a December trip that we couldn't refuse!  Then, when I got online to check airline, I found some amazing prices for flights!  Our entire family of 6 is flying to Orlando for under $1000!  I called Disney for a quote, then called Joey, and he approved! So, the trip is officially booked!

I am so excited!  We will be celebrating Luci's 1st birthday!  The plan is to keep this a secret from the kids and surprise them with an early Christmas present the night before we leave.  Do you think I can do it?  I hope sooo!!!  You guys have to keep the secret too!

This will be our 5th trip to Disney World, and it's just as exciting as the first time!  We've been one other time in December and we loved it.  It was a bit chilly the last time so we're hoping for some warmer temps this time around.  Luci will be turning 1 so I'm hoping she can fit into her brothers Mickey suit.  Luke was 1 year old when we went at Christmas in 2005, and he wore the cutest little Mickey suit and it kept him soo warm!  I may have to add a bow to it or something.

So....I have 10 months to plan this surprise Christmas/ birthday present!!  Let's get it started!

We've had a great, and cold start to this new year.  Luci is doing great and growing like a weed.  To fast for me.:(
Luke had his MRI last month and the results were great.  They saw no more blood collecting and also no pressure, which was also confirmed by his opthamologist.  The eye Dr. saw no swelling and also no vision damamge.  His vision was actually 20/20!

We've also had 3 pretty good winter storms this year.  I love it when it snows here in Texas.  We've gotten it the last couple of years.  Not just a dusting either.  It's been like 6 to 8 inches.  Thats enough for snowmen, sledding, and lots of snowball fights!

Thats Brea under all that snow!

I have to say the snow was a blast, but I am ready for spring and summer!  Our family has some big plans in the works for the rest of the year, and I'm so excited.  We even have a few surprises for the  kids this year!  I'll share those as they get closer!
