What a gorgeous day!

I have missed you sun! Today was such a gorgeous day!  The kids were able to actually spend the majority of the day outdoors!  It was so nice.  Joey cranked up his "big truck" and took the kids for a ride.  They loved it!  Jolea was a little scared when he first cranked it up, and boy did she come running covering her ears!  It is quite loud.

Tonight Brea played her last basketball game other than the end of year tournament.  She raked in a whopping 12 points!  We had made a deal a couple of weeks ago that if she scored more than 10 points she could get that cell phone upgrade she's been wanting.  So it looks like we'll be phone shopping!

Also, in a couple of months my new blog design will be revealed!  I'm so excited about it and I'm not gonna share any details, but it is going to be so amazing!  I can't wait!  I also have ordered my new camera!  I'm excited about that too!  I'm upgrading to a bigger Nikon that can do a little more than the one I have now.  I can't wait to get it in!  Here are a few pics from today and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend. Be blessed!

She's Growing Up

Brea had her valentines Sadie Hawkins dance last night.  I wish I could've been a fly on the wall!  From the excitement and the stories she told when she got home she must of had a really good time.  She was so excited about it, and the dress she wore was just too cute!

When we left the house we had just barely missed her uncle Jack.  He showed up here with the tape measure just to make sure the dress was the right length. :)  She said she worried all night that he was gonna show up and check on her.  I will say that her uncle Jack loves her, and keeps a very watchful eye on his girl.  He does get that same love from her in return!  Here are a few pictures that I took before the dance.

Happy Valentines Day!!

I love Valentines Day!  Not just the gifts, but just the meaning.  Joey and I will celebrate our 14th year of marriage this year.  It hasn't been an easy 14 years.  We have seen many struggles, been through tragedy in our family, experienced the amazing joy of having children, and adopting a child, and I believe all these things have made us who we are today, and have made our marriage what it is today.  As I sat in church this morning and listened to Randall preach about love, I felt him grab ahold of my hand. At that very moment I thanked Jesus for giving me such an amazing husband, and I look forward to the future with him.

I'm such a sucker for the kissy photos!  Believe it or not Joey is getting used to it, and just goes along with me now!

Another thing I want to mention is that 9 years ago today, I found out I was pregnant with Colt.  It was such a surprise!  I was working OB-Gyn at the time and pregnancy tests were always on hand.  The girls and I at work were always testing!  I took one this day, left it alone, and went back to work.  One of the girls I worked with actually noticed the positive line on the test.  I didn't believe it, and actually went to the drug store and bought an OTC test and took it.  It too was positive.  I think that has to be the best Valentines gift Joey and I have ever gotten.  Hmmm, do you think that one can ever be matched?  Ha! We'll see!

I hope you all had a very memorable Valentines Day today!  Be blessed!

One more kissy photo!  This is Jolea and I this morning!

Unbelievable!

The snow this morning was unbelievable.  I am still in awe of how much it has snowed here.  The kids were up and out the door as soon as their little feet hit the ground! Enjoy the pictures!

Record Breaking Snow In Texas?

We woke up this morning to an amazing gift from God!  Snow!!!  This was one of those days that Jolea and Luke just jumped out of the bed.  There was no fight to get Jolea up today!  We were so excited.  We did have school, but I let Joey come pick up Jolea and Luke after lunch so they could go home and enjoy as much of the snow as they could.  He took lots of pictures for me and saved the snowman building until Brea and I got home.  We played, and played, and played!  School is canceled tomorrow so we'll get to sleep in and spend the day home together.  The lights have been flickering a little so lets pray we don't lose electricity!

I'm not sure if we've ever had this much snow here before, and we're expecting another 2-4in. tonight!

Oh my this child,  she would just run around the yard and slide on her belly!  I don't see how she wasn't freezing.

I feel so sorry for Brea sometimes.  Her Daddy cuts her no slack!  He was wearing her out with the snowballs!  She loves every minute of it though, and wouldn't have it any other way.  She is one tough cookie!

Can you get up Brea?  Can you see with all that snow in your face?  He hit her right in the face!  Look at all the snow piled behind those glasses!
The Family!

We buried Brea in the snow because she kept hitting us all with snowballs.  Then we let Jolea and Luke sit on her!
The Snowman!  He lasted all of about 20 minutes until the dogs attacked him, and Brea bit his strawberry nose off!  Poor guy!

Can't wait until tomorrow to have some more fun!!!

How cute is this?  Do these tears break your heart or what?  This is my baby boy.  He is so tenderhearted, gentle, smart, sweet, and caring.  His older brother had all of these same amazing qualities.  I'm so thankful God chose me to be his Mommy!  I love you Luke!

Go away rain!

Oh, I am so glad the weekend is finally here!  We enjoyed such a peaceful evening tonight.  Breanna went to Caitlyn's birthday party ( Happy Birthday Caitlyn!!), and  Luke has gone over to Memaw and Grandads for the night.  He, Grandad, and Donny have a big day planned at the Bonham trades day!  They crack me up.  Luke was so excited though!  Jolea of course stayed home with her Mommy and Daddy.  She is my girl, and she doesn't like to be away from home.  That is completely fine with me though.  We both really enjoy the quiet cuddle time when it's just her and I.  She is my cuddle bug, and we love to curl up on the couch and watch tv at night.

I'm really hoping this rain quits soon, and the yard will dry up.  The kids get really stir crazy in the house.  It's nice to let them get outdoors and play off some of their energy!  A few weeks ago Joey and I cleaned out the playroom.  We took apart Colt's train table and packed it up for a while.  Luke has never really been into trains like Colt was and all they did was pile toys and who knows what else on it.  I was afraid it was going to get torn up so we just decided to pack it up for now.  I actually went through the toy closet and sacked up 4 large trash bags full of toys and took them to goodwill.  I still had baby toys, and so many of Colt's toys in there.  I kept some things, especially the disney stuff, and got rid of the rest.  It is so much cleaner and less cluttered now, and the kids can actually get up there and play without destroying the room.  We are actually planning on doing a little remodeling this summer and we are adding another bedroom, and plan to move Jolea upstairs with Brea.  We are also adding a bathroom up there.  Jolea's old room will be an office for now, and Luke will stay where he is.  Thats the plan for now, but we'll see what happens!  Ok, here are a few pictures that I took this week!

Here is Luke soaking in my jacuzzi tub.  He had such a stressful day at school....yah right!
